Under the patronage of the Ministry of Tourism, ‘Rethinking Lebanon’ brought together a myriad of students from across Lebanon with established speakers from their respective fields, with the aim of showcasing Lebanese youths’ ability in bettering the nation.
BEIRUT: ‘Rethinking Lebanon’ successfully launched its campaign Tuesday to promote the homeland globally through a slogan that reflects its essence – Lebanon, Passion for Living.
Under the patronage of the Ministry of Tourism, ‘Rethinking Lebanon’ unveiled the country’s new slogan – Lebanon, Passion for Living – with the aim of bolstering its image at the international level.
The conference brought together a myriad of students from across Lebanon with established speakers in their respective fields to showcas Lebanese youths’ ability in bettering the nation.
The winners of the competition to come up with a new slogan were announced, with the first, second and third place winners receiving a prize of LBP 4 million, LBP 2 million and LBP 1 million respectively.
Over 5,000 slogans were submitted by members of the public, with the winning slogan edging out ‘Life is on in Lebanon’ by a slight margin.
Rethinking Lebanon President Jihad El Hokayem then urged Lebanon’s youth to strive in whatever field they seek to enter, as this puts them in position to implement change and alter the current reality of the country.
“Break free and rethink free,” he said.
Hokayem also stressed the importance of today’s youth in promoting a new image of Lebanon, while also praising the current initiatives being undertaken across the board that are having a positive impact on society.
The conference, held at the Hilton Hotel in Beirut, was characterized by a strong and vibrant youth present, as speakers voiced their opinions on how to move forward for a better Lebanon.
